• Are Pregnant or breastfeeding. The body is constantly changing to accommodate for baby. This includes the skin which can have more sensitivity and pigment changes with hormone fluctuations. Furthermore, any kind of open skin wound has the potential to increase risk of infection. Baby comes first! If there is a chance you may be pregnant, please wait prior to booking any tattoo appointments. 
• Have Rosacea, Keloids, Eczema or Psoriasis (facial area)
• Diabetes can impact healing and requires a note with Dr.'s approval to ensure we have safe and effective procedure. Uncontrolled or unmonitored diabetes is contraindicated. 
• Have any blood condition that can impact ability to heal including HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis A/B/C
• Have Epilepsy. Physical pain can trigger a seizure and some medications can make it unsafe to get a tattoo. 
• Severe Facial Acne. 

Other Important Considerations:

• No Botox or Chemical Peels for 1 month before or after appointment
• Must be off Accutane 1 year prior to appointment
• Chemotherapy or facial radiation-  please wait 6 months and get a Dr's note to ensure we have a safe and effective session. 

• Please do not wax, tint, laminate, or thread your brows for 2 weeks prior to your appointment. This allows me to see your natural brow shape and hair growth for optimal results.  
• Avoid sun exposure and tanning for 1 week prior to your appointment.

24-48 hours before your appointment:

• No Advil, Ibuprofen, or Aspirin (nothing that can thin the blood) If your on prescription for blood thinner please consult with your doctor before booking your appointment.
• Avoid alcohol
• No Caffeine (coffee, tea, energy drinks, etc)

• Cleansing: You can use a q-tip to  gently cleanse brows twice a day with the mild soap that's provided or you can use a gauze pad that is saturated with witch hazel. Pat dry. Apply a tiny drop of aftercare with a q-tip. Repeat as necessary until the brows are done scabbing. 
• No water- it's okay if they get wet when you are washing them but we want to avoid a direct stream of water hitting them until the scab naturally falls off. A shower visor is included with your after care. 
• No sweating- saline in your sweat will burn and can affect the healing process. If you work out a lot I'd recommend weight lifting with time between sets and avoiding cardio for at least the first 10 days of healing. You can still work out but you want to try not to sweat for best results.
• No Makeup over the brows for 10-14 days!  (use this time to clean your makeup brushes )
• Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning for a full month.
• Avoid touching or rubbing during the healing process  Remember our hands still have some  germs even if we wash them and this is an open wound so any touching can lead to an infection. 
• DO NOT PICK once your brows start scabbing! Attempting to remove the scab can result in a loss of pigment or cause an infection. Please allow the skin to heal itself. 
• If the scab comes off  naturally and it looks like there is no pigment, it's okay. That is normal. It's known as the "ghosting phase". Most of the time the pigment will resurface within the next week or two. Everyone has a slightly different natural healing process so we allow 6-8 weeks to be able to see the fully  healed results from the first session. 
• It's easy to add pigment; it is not as easy to remove pigment. As your healing if you decide you want them fuller, darker, or if some of the pigment did not take as well we can always address that during the second touch up session that is included with your brow package.
